The Fleet Air Arm Field Gun Crew

The Fleet Air Arm Field Gun Crew (FAA FGC) first competed against the other Commands in 1947 and as our numbers grew throughout the early years it was recognized that an Association was needed. The FAAFGC Association formed in 1969 starting with a membership of 60 ex-field gunners, this continued to grow throughout the years and regardless of the fact that Command Field Gunning sadly finished in 1999, we maintain an impressive membership to date.

The Association website was created to provide all paid members access to a wide range of information, including yearbooks, crew photographs, videos, members list and notice board.

The years now pass since the last run in 1999, however the FAAFGC Association maintains and keeps the memory alive of what Command Field Gunning was all about and what it stood for. As the years roll on we must encourage the later crews to sign up to the Association to keep it going, after all you are the future.
